Phyllis Ann Domm
(1947 - 2009)
Phyllis A. Domm, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away due to complications from cancer on Saturday, February 21, 2009 in West Palm Beach, FL with her children by her side. Phyllis was born in Montclair, NJ on January 20, 1947 to Raymond and Louise Morongell. Phyllis was a distinguished scholar: Ed.D. Boston University, M.A. and M.Ed. Tufts University, and B.A. with honors Mount Holyoke College. She was the recipient of many awards in the healthcare field as well as the author of numerous management and human resources publications. She was recognized nationally as a leader in human resources and business, an advocate for education, and a powerful role model. Most recently, Phyllis founded The sPECial Fund (Sarcoma and PEComa Investigation and Action Leadership) committed to research and support for those diagnosed with sarcoma cancer. Phyllis was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Ciel Caldwell (Victor) and son Chris Laub (Ashley); sisters Joan Daviau (Daniel) and Gioia Barry; grandchildren Dylan Bellemare and Devin Laub and countless friends. A Memorial Mass will be held at 5:00pm on Monday, February 23, 2009 at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 1200 East 10th St, Stuart, FL, 34996.
