Sarcoma and PEComa Investigation and Action Leadership is committed to research, education, advocacy, and support for those diagnosed with sarcoma cancer.

First Annual sPECial 5K Race

The First Annual sPECial 5K took place on Saturday, July 17, 2010 in Salt Lake City, UT. The date marked the beginning of International Sarcoma Awareness Week, an internationally coordinated week of events sponsored by the Team Sarcoma Initiative. Thousands of people came together worldwide to raise money for sarcoma research, build awareness and support patients and their families.

Thank you to everyone who made this a successful first year 5K. We had 70 people participate in our Team Sarcoma Event and raised over $1600 to help fund sarcoma research.

We will be sharing stories of sarcoma survivors we met through the race in the coming months. If you have a story to share please e-mail Ashley so we can help spread awareness.
